Description
Spictera aligns with IBM license models, which is mainly a subscription based license.
A subscription is where the software license is rented from Spictera, as a part of the
service. The client can use the software as long as there is a valid subscription.
The client can use the support portal, get maintenance updates, patches, blueprints etc
and install new licenses based on the agreement.
The client can make its own copies of the software for backup, internal distributions etc,
as long as the client does not re-distribute these to external parties.
The client should report the license usage according to the agreed instruction.
Any license usage reported that is higher than the agreement, will be notified to the
client and contractor, where appropriate actions can be made. For example, ordering an
increase in license usage. If the license increase is not ordered, then an extra invoice
will be made based on the previously agreed and set license unit prices.
If license reporting usage is not being reported, than Spictera will base the license
usage on the last reported usage + an estimated capacity growth stated in the
agreement. For example +4% capacity growth per month.
When a subscription is terminated, the client is not allowed to use the software
anymore, and should therefor return all the software installed, by uninstalling them,
removing all copies, documentations that belongs Spictera.
They can keep own developed documentation, such as "how to use", or their own
implementation guides etc. But manuals, blueprints etc is a license of Spictera.
